CarPlay LINK® for BMW Series 1,3,5,6,7,X1,X3,X5 and Mini R56

This system allows you to integrate Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functions (BMW Connected Drive), being able to control them through the iDrive control knob.
Specific for BMW vehicles.

Compatibility:

With CCC system (from 2006 to 2008) with 6.5" or 8.8" color monitor:

With CIC system (from 2008 to 2012) with 6.5" o 8.8" color monitor:

With NBT system ( from 2012 onwards ->) with 6.5", 8.8" or 10.2" color monitor:

To be able to install it, is imprescindible to have:

* Select your system on the optional addons menu.

Exclusive features:

This system gets integrated on the factory genuine BMW system without losing any factory function and can be controlled through the factory iDrive control knob.
It doesn't require to replace the vehicle's monitor neither any other factory part.
Access to the system through the MENU button (from radio) or from "8" button. It allows you to program system to enable the acces through "8" button from radio.
Audio native integration with all available kind of factory audio systems (pasive speaker systems, active speaker systems, Logic7 or Harman Kardon).

Additional connections:

Aftermarket rear view camera compatibility with "Combi" function (allows you to get on the display at same time, the full screen image of the rear view camera and also over it, the vehicle PDC illustration at one of the displays side).
Static assistence guidelines.
1x Rear view camera (RCA) input.
1x Microphone input (3,5mm jack), for phone, Siri and Google Assistant usage.

It requieres to have a smartphone which has a data plan in order to be able to perform some functions on Apple CarPlay or Android Auto (for example; GPS Navigation with Google maps or Apple "Maps" app).
Access and management of the system through the iDrive knob and voice management (using Siri voice assistant on iPhones and Google Assistant on Android phones).

We recommend that the installation will be performed by a qualified specialist.
If your vehicle doesn't include from factory an AUX input you need to purchase the "Kit de conmutación AUX / AUX switch kit" addon, it will be imprescindible to code the vehicle using a VAG-COM/VCDS diag. tool in order to enable AUX input on it.
